LOROS Hospice of Leicestershire and Rutland have jointly commissioned a new reporting tool, to assist with their IPOS project. Following the exciting work with St Barnabas Hospice in Lincolnshire, LOROS have approached LHITS to look at the next steps in developing tools to support the IPOS (integrated palliative care outcome score) standards in palliative care locally. Now, a three-way collaboration is underway, as St Barnabas and LOROS have jointly commissioned a reporting tool for their IPOS project from LHITS.
LOROS have been using IPOS for over two years, meaning they have a good benchmark to look at how the standards can be used. Along with St Barnabas, LOROS have commissioned LHITS to build a reporting tool to analyse IPOS information to see how clinical services are changing and where patient need is highest. This tool will manage their own services more effectively, allocating resources and ensuring patient care is the best it can be.
Work has now begun on the East Midlands IPOS Report, updates will follow soon!
